Skip the line Anne Frank House and Jewish District
Skip the line at Anne Frank House and avoid the queue! The Anne Frank Museum is one of the most visited attractions in Amsterdam. It is here, where the young Jewish girl (Anne) has been trying to hide from the Nazis during the World War II. Moreover, this is the place where she began writing her now-treasured diary about the whole experience. Inside, you will have enough time to explore it on your own.
On the way, we will stop at a diamond factory that once was the biggest in Europe. Jews introduced the manufacturing on diamonds around 1600 in Amsterdam and have been mastering the industry. The Boas brothers put up their business in 1879; today, you can still see the steam generator and the chimney.
Our next stop will be at the Portugese Synagoge, which was built in 1675 and still runs as a synagoge nowadays. The new restaured temple, holds the majestic columns with its high ceiling and golden chandeliers. This image was so powerful for the Israeli Prime Minister that in 2012 he admitted the synagoge to be “one of the most beautiful [synagoge] I have ever seen”.
Tour will conclude with the visit at the Jewish Historical Museum, which contains over 16,000 pieces of art work and other relevant objects. The collection shows the religion, history and culture of the Jews in the Netherlands. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore it on your own and take as much time as you want.
