How we did it: 20th anniversary of Robomow in Amsterdam

We created a custom package for the celebration of the 20 year anniversary of the international company “Robomow”. Where fun meets business and sightseeing meets some serious celebration – you’ll find our friendly guides.

This summer, “Friendly robotics – Robomow“, the international company based in Israel, has celebrated it’s 20th anniversary. And they came to the vibrant Dutch capital to do this! The organisation of the event was trusted to FunAmsterdam. Keep reading to see how did we do it!

Robomow

Robomow_logo[1]“Robomow” is a company with a vision. Their ideal of the future is having house robots that will do all of the boring chores for us. That’s why they make robots that move the lawns!

Their robotic mowers are long lasting, rain proof and easy to maintain. And the best part is – you get to control them with your smartphone!

The Celebration

Friendly Robotics wanted to celebrate their 20th anniversary as befits. They also wanted to do something fun, and just a boring ol’ formal dinner wouldn’t cut it. Also, they wanted to explore and to get to know the real Amsterdam.

Challenge accepted!

Custom package

We created a custom package for RoboMow to meet their specific needs.

They’re a successful international company so we’ve booked them one of Amsterdam’s finest hotels. They wanted to get to know our city so we gathered our top guides. They wanted to participate in a collective activity so we drove out our beer bikes. They wanted and authentic Dutch experience – and what’s a better way to get to know a place than through its food – so we arranged multiple tastings of authentic dutch delicacies. And to wrap it all up, we topped that with a big lunch and a nice business dinner at the restaurants overlooking the canals!

The Robomow Day in Amsterdam

We hosted a group of 48 RoboMow employees. We booked them a hotel with a conference room but hey – the main action was happening outside! On the day of the celebration we picked them up with our beer bikes (it took three bikes, if you want the deets) and took them on a tour of the city. While pedaling, they sampled some great Dutch cheese. Along the way we stopped for 6 food tastings. Among other delicacies they got to try poffertjes, salted herring, flemmish fries and the famous Dutch apple pie!

We also brought them to the most famous street market in Amsterdam – Albert Cuypmarkt. The always vibrant market invited them for a real Amsterdam experience – with its colorful stalls, a vast variety of merchandise and even more of the Dutch foodie goodness. Freshly baked syrup waffles, anyone?

After the bikes we went to a typical Dutch restaurant in the beautiful and picturesque Jordaan neighborhood.

The group afterwards returned to the hotel to get ready for the main event – a celebratory dinner! The venue for the dinner was chosen carefully so that it was just a short walk away. The dinner was a three-course meal with unlimited drinks at a historical location behind the Dam Square.

Of course, everything from the bikes to the restaurant we went at the evening was branded in Robomow colors and slogans.

How much did it all cost?

Well, we won’t give away everything, but the 3 hours of the beer bike tour, including the divers, a walking tour and 6 snacks was 70 euros per person. A three choice meal costed 35€ per person.

We had great fun hanging out with RoboMow. crew! We wish them at least another 20 years of success and we hope we’ll meet again in Amsterdam.
